Several members of Friends of Oignies attended the service on the slopes, where a wreath was laid on behalf of the association. The report also includes some pictures from the service in Oignies

Summer 2019:
Oignies and its Wartime Heritage
2018 was the centenary of the ending of the First World War, whilst 2020 marks the 80th anniversary of the tragic events that forged the link between our two towns. Peter Bloomfield and his family have been exploring the region's wartime heritage, during a couple of extra visits to Oignies, staying with their host Véronique Bernard.
