Friends of Oignies: May Events
Buxton Spring Fair
The Friends of Oignies publicity stall was in full operational mode at the Spring Fair on Monday 6th May.
Various members of the committee were on duty during the day, and we had a constant stream of visitors with a good level of interest in the Twinning, and lots of friendly conversations.
"On the whole a very worthwhile day" according to Derek.

Mayoral Charities Presentation
Friends of Oignies Committee members Sue Hodgkinson, Anne Johnson, Karen Done and Perce Calvert were in the Pavilion Gardens Octagon, along with Association Chair Derek Thomas, to accept a cash donation from the Buxton and High Peak Mayoral Charities, at the Presentations Ceremony on Friday 17th May. This represents a very useful contribution to Association funds, which will go towards supporting future twinning visits.
