Summer Barbeque and
Round Buxton Quiz
Now that autumn has arrived, here are a few pictures as a reminder of the summer passed. In particular a sunny afternoon in June, when the Friends of Oignies Summer Barbeque and round Buxton Quiz took place.
The afternoon's events began with the Round Buxton Quiz starting around 2pm. A great time was had by all of those taking part, as we navigated our way around the town, following clues and searching out the answers to Helen Bloomfield's fiendish quiz.
After a couple of hours the intrepid quiz contestants returned to join other members of the Association chez Bloomfield to share an excellent Barbeque with meat supplied by local Butchers Mycock's.
The event also featured a raffle, with some excellent prizes on offer, such as bottles of champagne, afternoon tea at the Buxton Crescent and gift vouchers for local shops.
Special thanks to Helen Bloomfield for organising the event and devising the quiz which raised a significant amount of money to support the Friends of Oignies Association.
