Friends of Oignies Stall at the Buxton Spring Fair
After two years of on and off lockdowns, our magnificent Friends of Oignies Stall was finally back on the road for this year's Buxton Spring Fair. Having been allocated a well located pitch on the Higher Buxton Market Place, we enjoyed a steady footfall, and had a good level of interest in the Twinning and lots of friendly conversations.
With various members of the Committee manning the stall throughout the day, such events are a great way of raising the profile of the French Twinning amongst local inhabitants and visitors to Buxton.
We even had a genuine French lady visit the stall, currently living in Sandbach, so some of were able to try out our French language skills ...she didn't seem to mind too much!
