Burns Night '26
On Saturday night (24th January) Friends of Oignies held a Burns Night Celebration.
What a great evening; and thank you to everyone that came along. I piped the haggis in. Ian Hamilton was a magnificent host, addressing the haggis with great passion and theatrics. After a toast to the bard Rabbie Burns, we ate and drank extremely well. Thank you to the amazing Committee and others for kitchen duties.
A splendid, hilarious ceilidh was presided over by long suffering caller, Gill Kitchen. Everyone laughed and danced the evening away.
Let’s do it again next year... ?
